Can a prolonged yeast infection cause infertility?
Ms. Ava asked:
I had a prolonged yeast infection as a teenager that I was able to get cleared up after a long time of suffering. Now I’m in my late 20′s and I’m wondering if I am fertile. I have not tried to get pregnant yet and I am on birth control. I asked my doctor about fertility testing but she said I would have to try to get pregnant and fail first before undergoing fertility tests. I would like to stop taking birth control if I’m not fertile. Can anyone offer any advice?

As far as i know, i dont think a prolonged yeast infection can cause damage… becuase regardless if we keep treating them, they always came back. Most likely, if it were to Cause Infertility in any way, doctors would be makeing a way bigger deal about it. Try to get pregnant if its what u want. and if failed, dont worry, its not as easy as ppl think to get pregnant. all women are different. but if you are curious, fertility test can be done for that peice of mind. good luck
