In any given person, what is the chance of infertility?

Chrissy asked:

Is it safe to say that all people will conceive eventually? Well, usually?

What are the chances that an 18 year old woman or man is infertile? Or will have difficulty conceiving?

I think infertility rates are around 8 to 10%.

When I had troubles getting pregnant my insurance required me to take a fertility class before I could make an appointment with a fertility doctor. In the class they said that it is estimated that approximately 15% of couples will have problems with infertility (defined as not becoming pregnant within 1 year of having regular unprotected sex). Luckily many of those couples can still achieve pregnancy with medical intervention.

if you are 18 wait children are alto of work finish school and get a good job and get married.

Set some goals and write them down
Make 2 lists a list of why it is a bad idea to have children now and a list of why it is a good idea to have children now

But to answer your question unless you had some type a injury as a child it should be very easy to conceive

Sometimes it runs in your family, either the male or female can carry a hidden gene for infertility. I’m scared that i’ll be infertile because my aunt is and my husband’s aunt is, too. But i guess there is a chance in everything.
