They could just be trying to be controversial, stupid, ignorant, or all three.

Our bodies are very complex, and everyone is so different, i don’t think its fair to say someone shouldn’t have a child, just because their body isn’t cooperating.

Science also keeps people alive who would otherwise die, that seems right to me.

i would go with a a person with no conscious trying to get a rise outta people. utter ignorance. people like that should be ignored at all costs.

My sister & her husband are finally pregnant after a 6 year battle with fertility treatments including her third try at IVF and now that she’s pregnant without a doubt she was made to be a mum.

I find that statement appalling as well. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant right now and we have to use medication to help us conceive because I do not ovulate on my own. About 5 years ago my body stopped ovulating due to my PCOS. Does this make me someone who can not raise children? Absolutely not. I love children and can not wait to have one of my own. Anyone who thinks in that way is very judge mental and does not understand or know what it is like to be a woman who can not conceive naturally!!

No, I do not think that most people feel that way. It is natural and healthy to want to procreate and science has made it possible for many people who otherwise would not have had the chance.

Of course people think that, people think all kinds of things, you do not have to agree. It is rational to some irrational to others. It is not a crazy thought, it is that persons opinion.

If we’re talking about a young couple that is desperate to have a family…ok…well I guess a little help is ok.

If we’re talking about a 63 year old woman who put her career first and wants children now…then no I don’t think it’s ok and science shouldn’t facilitate it.

If we’re talking about someone that is intentionally trying to make themselves a freak show and have a litter to make money like Nadya Sulemon…then no it’s not ok

It totally depends on the situation in my opinion.

i agree with what they say and it has nothing to with religion bc i have none. its bc i have seen the result of ifv in treatment centers all over my state. 95%of the kids in treatment are either adopted or results of ivf. from my experience people that cant have kids not only lack the ability to make them but to raise them as well.
just my experience.
